L2 is coming to Kickstarter on November 3. Follow the project to get notified at launch.

Sealed Fuel System · Months of Standby · No Leaks · IPX8 Waterproof · Classic Wick Flame
There is something satisfying about a wick lighter. Turn the flint wheel, watch the spark catch, and a small flame settles above the wick. It is a simple, familiar pleasure.
The frequent refills are less endearing.
You put your lighter away with fuel inside. A few days later, you reach for it again. The wheel still sparks, but the flame never arrives. You have barely used it. Yet somehow, it needs another refill.
When we designed L2, we started with that frustration. We wanted the familiar experience of a wick lighter to fit more comfortably into everyday life, with fewer checks and longer stretches between refills.
That meant taking a closer look at what happens while the lighter is sitting in your pocket.
Keeping the Fuel Where It Belongs
Fuel does not have to be burning to disappear. In a traditional wick lighter, it can slowly escape through evaporation, even when the lighter is barely used.
L2 is built around a tightly sealed fuel system. FKM fluoroelastomer seals protect multiple critical points, while twelve screws distribute pressure evenly across the sealing surfaces. The screws are tightened in a symmetrical cross-pattern to help keep that pressure consistent. These are details you may never think about when you use the lighter. But their job is to give you less reason to think about the fuel.
With a few short lights each day, a single 10 ml fill can last up to 20 days. With occasional use or storage, L2 can remain ready to light for up to 3 months on one fill.
For someone who carries a lighter every day, that means fewer interruptions to refill it. For someone who keeps one in a camping bag, it means pulling it out on the next trip and finding it ready to light. For someone with sensitive skin or simply a dislike of mess, it also means less worry about fuel seeping onto skin or clothing.
Water Outside. Fuel Protected Inside
Outdoor gear has a habit of getting wet. A sudden shower, a splash by the campsite, an accidental drop into water. Everyday use rarely follows perfect conditions.
L2's IPX8 waterproof construction helps keep water out of the fuel system, protecting the fuel and absorbent cotton inside. The exposed spark wheel and flint can still get wet, so lighting it again may take a few extra strikes.
A little water may slow the spark, but it doesn’t have to soak the fuel.
Refilling Gets Simpler, Too
Eventually, every fuel lighter needs a refill. When that time comes, L2 has a dedicated fuel port, so you can add fuel without pulling the lighter apart.
The wick cap stays attached when opened, giving you one less small piece to keep track of. Its tether attachment rotates freely through 360 degrees to help prevent twisting and tangling. Tighten the cap again, and it protects the wick while helping keep the system sealed.
These are modest changes, but they show up in the moments that make a tool easy to live with: opening it, putting it away, and getting it ready for the next use.
A Steady Flame When You Need It
Inside L2, cotton draws fuel through the wick while a fine copper wrapping helps distribute heat more evenly. Together, they support a steadier, more consistent flame.
In our testing, L2 maintained a steady flame for around 25–30 minutes in a single continuous burn. Most everyday uses will be much shorter, but it is reassuring to know the flame can keep going.
Prolonged burning requires care, as the lighter can become hot.
The Details You Feel in Your Hand
L2 comes in titanium and brass, each bringing a different character to the same design. Titanium offers a lighter feel with strength for everyday carry. Brass has a reassuring weight and a classic warmth.
Both are CNC-machined from solid metal, with carefully finished edges that make the body comfortable to hold. The round shape sits naturally in your hand, while a small flat section at the base helps it stay put when you set it down.
It is an easy detail to overlook in a photograph. You tend to appreciate it more when your lighter stays where you left it.
Keep Using the One You Know
A lighter can become a familiar part of your day. You learn its weight, find its place in your pocket, and reach for it without much thought.
We designed L2 so that a worn part does not have to end that relationship. It is refillable, with replaceable wear parts and widely available fuel, wicks, and flints. Routine care does not depend on proprietary consumables.
Replace what wears out, look after it, and keep using a tool you have grown comfortable with. That is what we want L2 to bring to everyday carry: the familiar pleasure of a classic flame, with fewer small demands on your attention.
Light it. Get on with your day.
